Meta Brings Meta AI Imagine to Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger
Meta announced at its Meta Connect 2024 conference that its AI will now allow you to edit photos using AI technology and will also answer questions about the photos you share with it.
Additionally, at the event, it also announced Meta AI Imagine, which uses generative AI to turn text prompts into images, and which has already begun rolling out to Facebook and Instagram.
After announcing that Instagram creators could have their own AI, Meta continues to bet on AI in social networks.
With Llama 3.2, Meta’s AI is expanding its capabilities. For example, now if you send him a picture of a birthday cake, you can ask him how to make it so you can get the recipe. Another big change is the ability to edit photos, for example, you can send him a picture of a goat and ask him to put it on a skateboard.
Additionally, when you share a post to your story, the AI will “understand” the image and all its elements, and create a background for your story that matches it.
Meta AI Imagine can help creators drive more engagement with their posts by generating eye-catching images based on what they’re saying in their posts. All they have to do is tap the “Imagine” button and the AI will provide them with a series of options to choose from, although they can also describe the exact image they’re looking for.
The AI will also give creators ideas on what copy to put in their stories and posts. These features will also come to Messenger, Facebook’s chat app, for custom chat themes. Users already had the option to choose from a wide range of themes, but now, they will be able to create their own using Meta’s AI.
Additionally, Mark Zuckerberg’s company is also trying to introduce translation tools for Facebook and Instagram videos that will include automatic dubbing in sync with the people speaking in the videos. For now, the app is only available in small groups in the United States and Latin America, in Spanish and English, and will soon reach the rest of the countries in more languages, including Arabic.
