iPhone 16 Pro phones provide high-speed connectivity to 5G networks
New tests have revealed that the new iPhone 16 Pro phones offer faster 5G speeds than previous models, and this improvement in 5G speed is due to the new Qualcomm modem.
The new iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models feature the Snapdragon X75 modem, which offers several improvements. According to a test conducted by SpeedSmart, the iPhone 16 Pro models achieved a 23.7% increase in 5G download speeds across three major networks in the United States: Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
According to tests, the speed of 5G networks has increased by more than 25%, with download speeds exceeding 400 Mbps, and upload speeds exceeding 30 Mbps, which is also a slight improvement compared to previous versions.
These major improvements in 5G network speed come courtesy of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 modem, which supports advanced technologies while reducing power consumption and improving signal integration between networks to increase upload speed.
It is worth noting that these major improvements in 5G speeds will not be available in the regular versions of the iPhone 16, as both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus come with the older Snapdragon X70 modem, although Apple has not officially confirmed this yet.
In another development, it was discovered that all iPhone 16 series phones support charging speeds of up to 45 watts, a feature that was not mentioned in Apple's keynote or press releases.
