Apple launched the new iPhone 16 phones in the UAE yesterday, with prices starting from 3,399 dirhams, making the UAE one of the first countries to launch the new devices.

For the first time, the launch operations in the country’s shopping malls, which included “The Dubai Mall” and “Mall of the Emirates” in Dubai, in addition to “Yas Mall” and “The Galleria Mall” in Abu Dhabi, did not witness long, extended queues with large numbers participating, as was the custom in previous years, as “Apple” took measures to prevent crowding, by delivering the new phones to those who had pre-booked only.

One of the pre-bookers told “Emarat Al Youm” and was one of the first to receive the new device in “Dubai Mall” that he had been waiting since 7 pm the day before yesterday in front of the “Apple” store in “Dubai Mall” to receive the device, while others of Asian and European nationalities said that they had been waiting to receive the device since 2 am.

At the same time, a number of stores in the country have offered the purchase of new phones in easy monthly installments without interest or additional fees.

Apple's new phones include the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, as well as the more expensive iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, after pre-orders for the devices began last week.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max come with a larger screen, a camera control button, and other professional features for the imaging system, in addition to a significant improvement in battery life.

Yesterday, Apple launched the iPhone 16 lineup in 60 countries, including the United States, China, Japan, Europe, India, Australia and South Korea, but the new devices did not come with artificial intelligence software installed as the company previously stated.
