If you have one of these three Samsung Galaxy devices, we have bad news for you: you will no longer receive updates

Samsung has already rolled out the September 2024 security update for its Galaxy devices and will soon start rolling out the latest Android security patch to the best phones and tablets in its catalog, but that also means some of its older devices will be forgotten about updates as they reach the end of their useful life.

In fact, we can already confirm that three Samsung Galaxy phones will stop receiving security updates starting this month, as they all arrived on the market 4 years ago and were not supported by the South Korean brand.

As reported by SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, and Galaxy Tab S7+ will stop receiving security updates starting in September.

These three devices from the Korean company were left without OS updates last year, and now they won't have Android security updates. This is because it's been 4 years since they hit the market, and although the Korean giant recently extended support for the Galaxy S20 for a fifth year, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ haven't had the same luck.

This smartphone and these two Samsung tablets were launched in 2020 with Android 10 and have since received three Android OS updates, the latest being Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1, which arrived between late 2022 and early 2023.

If you have one of these three devices and want to continue receiving security updates, you have two options: either install a custom ROM that updates with the latest security patches or buy a newer branded phone or tablet like the Galaxy Z Flip6 or one of the Galaxy Tab S9.
