Huawei launches its MatePad Pro 12.2 and MatePad 12 X tablets globally
Huawei has announced the global launch of two new tablets, the MatePad Pro 12.2 and MatePad 12 X, which have been available for sale in China for the past few months.
The MatePad Pro 12.2 comes with a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED full-screen display with a resolution of 2800 x 1840 pixels and a frequency of 144 Hz with a brightness of up to 2000 nits, and a massive 10,100 mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging.
The MatePad 12 X, which is sold in China as the MatePad Air, comes with a 2800 x 1840 pixel IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of brightness. The device includes the same large battery as the Pro version, with support for 66W fast wired charging.
Both tablets come in versions with a PaperMatte coating covering the screen, which simulates the texture of paper to improve performance when using the smart pen, and provide greater comfort for the eyes when reading and browsing.
Huawei is launching the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 in two versions: the black version with 256GB storage at a price of 850 euros, and the gold version with 512GB storage and PaperMatte display at a price of 1000 euros, and the company may provide free gifts such as a keyboard and a smart pen.
The MatePad 12 X will be available for €570 for the black or white version with 256GB storage, and €650 for 512GB storage and PaperMatte display, with the possibility of getting free gifts when purchasing from Huawei as well.
