Now, with the integration of Gemini into Gmail as part of Google Workspace, users will find more ways to manage emails easily, saving a lot of time and boosting productivity.

Here are three ways Gemini can help you manage your Gmail email:

1- Summarize the email chain:

Gemini can summarize the main points of an email thread where you're discussing a topic with coworkers or planning a weekend trip with your family, allowing you to get the gist of all the messages without reading them all.

You can try this feature in the web version of Gmail and in the mobile app, simply click on the email thread whose content you want to summarize, then click the summarize this email button to see a brief overview of the most important details.

2- Quickly search for information in your inbox:

Using Gmail's Q&A feature, Gemini can search your inbox for specific information, eliminating the need to search through long email threads.

To try this feature, tap the Gemini icon in the Gmail mobile app and ask any questions related to the content of the email thread.

The Q&A feature in Gmail is available now in the Gmail for Android app and will be available later this month in the Gmail for iOS app.

3- Help in writing appropriate responses:

Whether you don't have time to write a response to a coworker's email, for example, or you just need a little help finding the right words to write a response, Gemini can analyze the context of the email and suggest relevant responses using its Contextual Smart Reply feature, which offers three reply suggestions tailored to the content of the message. You can choose the one that works for you, then adjust it as desired.

Google will roll out Contextual Smart Reply later this month to Gmail on the web and on Android and iOS smartphones.
