Google is looking to make its Gemini AI model a core part of its Workspace productivity suite, which could see the chatbot adopted by millions more users.

Aiming to boost productivity for every type of business, the search giant has announced that the standalone Gemini app will be included as standard in Workspace Business, Workspace Enterprise, and Workspace Frontline plans starting sometime in Q4, replacing the need to purchase the separate Gemini add-on.

In a recent blog post , Google says Gemini is subject to the same enterprise terms as other core Workspace services, like Gmail and Docs, and Gemini will not use enterprise data, generated responses, or user prompts to train or improve its AI model.

The integration provides core AI assistant capabilities across the entire Workspace suite, and customers can define how Gemini handles different types of claims themselves.

Workspace administrators can manage Gemini's storage of generated responses and user prompts, and specify the duration of storage.

Gemini also now holds SOC 1/2/3 and ISO 27701 security and privacy standards certifications, giving organizations peace of mind when using a chatbot for enterprise use.

Google explained that integrating Gemini models into the Workspace platform aims to help employees in companies of all sizes work productively.

To enhance security against malware, phishing, and other online threats, Google is introducing a new Security Advisor tool that delivers insights directly to an IT admin's inbox with personalized recommendations to help strengthen an organization's security posture.

Security Advisor includes a suite of safe browsing and data protection features for Chrome, Gmail, and Google Drive, including a guided experience to implement recommended threat defenses, account security measures, and data protection policies.

The new Security Advisor tool is expected to be available to Workspace Business subscribers in the next few weeks.
