Google App Fails in Android Devices
Millions of Android users around the world have been experiencing a sudden outage in the main Google app, with the app repeatedly crashing when trying to perform a search.
Users reported seeing an error message saying “Google has stopped working,” which has prevented them from using the search engine on their smartphones since last Saturday.
Many devices running different versions of Android were affected by this malfunction, including Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy, and others.
For its part, Google officially announced a “service disruption” affecting a large number of users, and the company confirmed that it is working hard to determine the cause of the problem and solve it as soon as possible.
Google has not yet revealed the exact reason behind this malfunction, but users have faced many problems, including the application crashing frequently, and when trying to open the application, the user returns to the home screen immediately.
Users also noticed that the voice search and Google Discover features built into the interfaces of some devices did not work, but some other services such as the personal assistant, Google Lens, and search via the Chrome browser were not affected by the problem.
This glitch has caused great inconvenience to users who rely heavily on the app in their daily lives. Until a final solution is found, users can use Chrome browser to search the internet as a temporary solution.
In a recent development, the company updated the page it dedicated to the problem on its official website, indicating that the problem has been resolved, and advised users who are still experiencing the problem to delete Google app data via the Settings app.
