Google has announced the addition of new features to the video editor in its Google Photos app . These new features aim to facilitate the video editing process through new tools based on artificial intelligence, allowing for distinctive modifications to video clips without much effort from the user.

Google explained in a post on its support forum the features expected in the upcoming updates to the application, which include placing the preferred editing tools in the interface, which makes the editing process smooth and fast, and updating the cropping tool to become more accurate in order to crop the shots perfectly.

Google also added an auto-enhance button that stabilizes video, reduces shake, and improves color quality with the push of a button, in addition to a speed control tool to increase the speed of the video or create slow-motion clips easily.

One of the standout features of the new update is “Presets,” which are AI-powered settings that can automatically trim video, adjust lighting, control speed, apply effects like dynamic motion tracking for the main subject, zoom in on key moments, or easily create a slow-motion effect.

Google stated that the launch of these new features for the video editor will be gradual, without specifying a timeline for their arrival to all users. Therefore, it is recommended to update the Google Photos application to the latest available version to benefit from these features as soon as possible.
