After a long wait Arc browser for Windows 11 has now been launched

Arc is now available to all Windows 11 users. Born from macOS and iOS, this browser offers a unique take on modern browsers with its simple user interface and smart customization features. Until today, Arc was available in closed beta, but now, every Windows user is free to try Arc and experience something new.

I’ve been using Arc as my primary browser for a few weeks now. It’s true that its UI is a bit unconventional and some of its settings took me a while to adjust to. However, Arc has rewarded me with a light and focused experience without all the clunky, annoying stuff that has made me hate some other browsers lately.

Being based on Chromium, Arc doesn’t compromise on compatibility, plus you can enjoy hundreds of thousands of Chrome extensions. It’s also worth noting that Arc is built using Swift, Apple’s programming language for macOS and iOS.

The team behind Arc has spent a lot of time porting the browser from macOS to Windows, and they're now keen to help other app makers try Swift instead of the C programming language, which is used in Chrome and Edge.

Today’s Windows release is just the beginning for the Arc team. In the announcement email, the developers said they plan to add more features to the Windows version to bring it on par with the macOS version, and add support for Windows 10 (it’s currently Windows 11 only).
