Xiaomi launches Realme C61: a resistant phone with a screen that can be used when wet, at a price of $149
Although the cheapest smartphones may seem to be left in the shadows, users don’t think the same way and phones that cost less than $200 continue to emerge. And now Realme has just launched the C61, a phone that stands out for its resistance.
It has a metal build designed to withstand accidental drops. Additionally, it comes with an IP54 certification that makes it dust and water resistant, including a feature called Rainwater Smart Touch that keeps the screen working even when it's wet, as well as Air Gestures, which lets you control some of the device's functions without touching the screen.
The Realme C61 sticks to a modern and elegant design with a metal body that is just 7.74mm thick, making it one of the slimmest phones on the market, and with a square-shaped triple camera module occupying the upper left part of the back of the device.
Of course, especially considering the price, don't expect great screen quality, processor performance, or super-stellar camera capabilities, but what you will get is a great battery and storage space.
If we focus on its features, it is worth noting that the Realme C61 phone is equipped with a large 6.74-inch IPS LCD screen with HD resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate and with a Unisoc Tiger T612 processor accompanied by 6 GB of RAM that can be doubled using the Dynamic RAM function in Realme UI and 256 GB of internal storage that can be expanded using microSD cards.
The new Realme C61 also doesn't lack autonomy, as it packs a massive 5,000 mAh battery that promises up to two days of use. Moreover, according to the manufacturer, this battery offers you up to 8 hours of standby with a 1% charge and its performance is guaranteed for at least 4 years.
As for its availability, this smartphone will go on sale between August 28 and 31 of the same month. Its price? Although it originally costs $169 for the 6GB RAM and 256GB storage version, it will be available at an early bird price of $149.
