WhatsApp Status Updates | Quick Replies & Likes Are Coming
It seems that we will start a new series on our site on the site of Arfni called WhatsApp application updates ! Where the WhatsApp application has been working for months on the quick replies feature for status updates (WhatsApp status update), and it seems that the launch of the feature for everyone is closer than ever, as it has begun testing on the Android operating system with the experimental version 2.24.17.21 of the application.
Quick Replies to WhatsApp Status Updates
When viewing a status update from a contact, users will see a heart-shaped button next to the “Reply” text box. This button will allow users to like that status update. When someone reacts with a like to your status update, you will see it in the status viewers list, similar to the Stories feature on Instagram. WhatsApp will also allow users to control whether they receive notifications of these like responses.
Security and privacy features under development
Another feature that WhatsApp is developing focuses on user security and privacy. This feature will allow users to block messages from unknown accounts. With this feature enabled, WhatsApp will automatically block messages from unknown accounts if they exceed a certain limit.
This feature is still in development and isn't even available to beta users, so it's unclear how long it will take for WhatsApp to release it to everyone.
