Samsung Galaxy Ring battery has a problem and does not last long
On July 10, 2024, Samsung held its second Galaxy Unpacked conference for 2024, an event where, in addition to new foldable devices, its new generation of smartwatches was unveiled. Samsung also launched its first smart ring on the market, the Samsung Galaxy Ring , the first reports of which are starting to arrive and the truth is that they are not very positive.
This is because many Galaxy Ring users claim that the smart ring's battery drains faster after a few weeks of use.
As the specialized media SamMobile revealed to us , the Samsung Galaxy Ring battery began to discharge more quickly after several weeks of use. Thus, the editor responsible for analyzing the smart ring explains to us that at first his battery lasted about 6 days, but now its autonomy has been significantly reduced.
Specifically, the aforementioned SamMobile editor notes that as of today, the Samsung Galaxy Ring does not last four days of use with a full charge, which brings its autonomy closer to that of the Galaxy Watch7 with some active power saving functions.

But this editor is not the only one who reported battery drain issues with the Samsung smart ring, as YouTuber Parker Burton also posted on X recently in which he commented that at first, the Galaxy Ring's battery lasted about 8 days, but now, after 15 hours of use, it only has 53% charge left, as you can see in the image accompanying the aforementioned post, which we leave for you below these lines.
However, everything seems to indicate that this Galaxy Ring battery drain issue should be fixable with a new firmware update, since Samsung's smart ring will likely need additional battery optimization to regain its initial autonomy.
