However, Florie Malabit, an expert from cleaning company Sparkle and Shine, noted that cleaning the hood is simple and can be done in minutes.
She also stated that cleaning the hood in the kitchen continuously will keep the kitchen smelling fresh and ensure that the air in your home stays clean.
How to clean the hood
All you need to clean the hood is a dishwashing liquid that is designed to break down grease and oil, it is very effective in removing greasy build-up.
You need:
Dishwashing liquid
Warm water
cloth
Sponge
Gloves
How to clean the hood
- To get started, make sure the hood fan is completely turned off and unplugged, then wipe off any dust.
- Mix dishwashing liquid with warm water in a bucket and clean as much grease and dirt as possible from the hood fan.
- Place them in the sink filled with hot water and dishwashing liquid. After soaking, brush them with a brush to remove any remaining residue.
- Wipe the fan gently with a clean, dry cloth.
It is preferable to let the hood fan dry overnight, to allow it to dry completely before reinstalling it in the hood again.
