How to Give an Amazon Fire Tablet a Reset
The day will come when a device requires a factory reset. It can be misbehaving or you might be providing it to someone else. Regardless of the situation, here's how an Amazon Fire Tablet factory reset operates.
A factory reset: what is it?
A factory reset, as the name suggests, will erase all data from the device and restore it to its original state "from the factory." Your apps and all of your personal data are deleted.
Reversing the factory reset process is not possible. The device will be cleared of all of your data. Make sure to preserve whatever you do not want to misplace.
Make sure you have tried a basic reboot first if you are resetting due to a technical issue. Initially, locate the "Settings" app on the home screen, or access it by clicking the gear icon in the notification shade after sliding down twice from the top of the screen.
Next, choose "Device Options" by scrolling down.
Choose "Reset to Factory Defaults" now.
You will receive a pop-up notification alerting you to the removal of all of your apps, downloaded material, and personal data. Press "Reset" to make sure.
As the device resets to its factory settings, it will turn off and display a progress screen. When it is finished, your Fire Tablet will be brand-new, just like the day you received it!
