How to disable Windows updates without programs and run them whenever you want
Windows updates are released every month to address security vulnerabilities, fix bugs, improve overall system performance, and add new features. However, they may cause problems with your computer or consume your limited internet package. So in this post, we will learn how to disable Windows updates without programs.
This is done by disabling the service responsible for checking for new updates in the background, downloading and installing them. Run the Windows Services tool built into the system by opening the Run window, then pressing the Win + R keys together, then typing the command [services.msc] and pressing Enter.
Note: This service updates the operating system, drivers, and applications, which stops Windows 11 updates permanently and permanently.
After opening the "Services" window, scroll down to find the "Windows Update" service. Right-click on it and select "Properties" from the pop-up window. Click on the Stop button under Service status and also select the Disabled option from the Startup type list so that the service is not permanently disabled. Finally, click on the OK button.
This way Windows won't be able to check for updates automatically unless you do it manually by clicking the "Check for updates" button.
