Google Chrome makes it easier to access saved passwords in the browser with this new feature
Users usually have different passwords for each of their social networks, because if only one credential is used, Internet users run the risk of cybercriminals launching a cyberattack to obtain endless private information or stealing accounts that are ultimately inaccessible. However, despite this warning, there are those who choose to have one password on all platforms to avoid remembering multiple credentials.
This group of users may not know that there are many password managers to store all our credentials, however, if you do not want to opt for this type of tool, The Verge reveals that individuals will soon be able to access their passwords, bookmarks, and saved addresses in the Chrome browser once they log in to their Google accounts.
But what does this news mean? The change allows you to skip the extra step of enabling Chrome sync, and in addition, Google will offer the option to sign in to the aforementioned browser “to enjoy a personalized browsing experience.” This way, it will allow you to send tabs and use saved passwords on all devices.
On the other hand, The Verge explains that “you don’t have to sign in to your Chrome account if you’re not interested in linking your browsing data to your Google Account.”
Additionally, Claire Charron, Chrome product manager, told the aforementioned newspaper: “Today, users increasingly expect to sign in to access their stuff and sign out to keep themselves secure. Given this technological evolution, “we continue to make progress in transforming our legacy sync model into one that more seamlessly meets the expectations of today’s users.”
As for the specific time frame for this change to be applied to Android and iOS, Google says, "Stay tuned for updates."
