Gmail Just Got Better With Gemini With These 2 New Features

A new update is coming to Gmail. The mobile version of Google’s popular email client is about to get even better, thanks to two new features powered by Gemini, Google’s AI program that’s gradually making its way into every Google service.

On this occasion, Gmail received two features that allow you to improve the writing of drafts of emails before sending them. The features are available on both mobile devices and the web version of Gmail.

Gmail will improve your drafts with AI

The two new Gmail features come to the email platform as an enhancement to Help Me Write, an AI-based feature that leverages Gemini's capabilities to improve email writing.

How to login to gmail from phone

On the one hand, on mobile phones and on the web it will be possible to access a function called “Polish” that enhances the text with more appropriate language depending on the context of the conversation.

On the other hand, on iOS and Android, this feature will automatically appear as a shortcut right below the draft text, when Gmail detects that the email can be improved.

Keep in mind that this shortcut will only be displayed when the draft contains more than 12 words.

Both new features are already in the rollout phase, and will be available on iOS, Android, and the web over the coming days. However, only Google Workspace users with Gemini Business or Gemini Education, or those who pay for a Google One AI Premium subscription, will be able to enjoy these features.
