Believe it or not A program adds the Dynamic Island found in the iPhone to your Windows computer
The iPhone 14 surprised the world two years ago with this sophisticated notch that skillfully hides the selfie camera and front-facing sensors. We are talking of course about the Dynamic Island , which is nothing more than a notch containing animations that allow for the use of that black space on the screen. Aesthetically, it looks great and is useful for displaying notifications or controlling media playback at a glance.
Now, even though “Dynamic Island” is actually a registered trademark of Apple, it doesn’t mean that you can’t get this feature on other devices. We’ve already explained how to install Dynamic Island on Android , and now we’ll show you how to install it on your Windows 10 or 11 computer. It won’t take more than 5 minutes, so try it on your laptop or computer with the following tutorial.
The only thing you need to get iPhone Dynamic Island on Windows 10 or Windows 11 is to install XWidget. You can download its free version from its official website.
Keep in mind that when you download and install XWidget, your Windows antivirus will prevent you from doing so because it thinks it is malware. This is a false positive, as the program is 100% safe. Therefore, in order to download and install it, you must do the following first:
- Open Windows Settings.
- Click on Privacy and Security.
- Select Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
- In the Antivirus and threat protection settings section, click Manage settings.
- Click the Real-time Protection switch to disable this option.
After doing this, you will be able to download and install XWidget without any restrictions. Once downloaded and installed (just double-click the EXE file and follow the installation steps), do the following to add Dynamic Island to your computer:
- Open XWidget and immediately after that three widgets will appear on your desktop next to the XWidgets Gallery page.
- On the gallery page, find and select the UI element called “Desktop Dynamic Island” created by developer Jimking.
- Click on the free download button to install this tool on your computer.
- Once the download is complete, the Dynamic Island will appear as a black pill on your desktop. It will be next to the three home page widgets, so right-click on each one and press "Close" to remove it.
Now you have Dynamic Island on your computer. You can drag and drop it anywhere you want, but if you prefer it to be iPhone-like, you should place it in the top center of the screen.
- What can Dynamic Island do in Windows?
By default, the XWidget Dynamic Island widget will not do anything. You have to right-click on the island to open the menu and assign a function. There are several available, but we leave you the most interesting ones so you have an idea of how to take advantage of this widget:
- Date, time and calendar
- Weather conditions

- Battery status and percentage
- Music and media player
