Steam is officially coming to PlayStation VR2 next August
The PlayStation VR2 seems to have been struggling since its launch, which has prompted Sony to look to the PC market in an attempt to salvage the headset a bit. Last month, the company released a PS VR2 adapter for those who want it to be compatible with PC games in addition to PS5 games, and now, it looks like Steam integration is coming as well.
The PlayStation VR2 app has appeared on Steam, and according to the app, the platform will officially launch for the device in a few weeks, on August 6. According to data on the app's page on the platform , it will allow you to play PC and Steam games on your PlayStation VR2, update the headset software and Sense controllers via Steam, adjust settings, and more. As you might expect, you'll need the aforementioned adapter to be able to use the Steam app on the headset.
It is worth noting that last month, reports emerged that Sony had made "significant cuts" in an effort to fund the development of the PS VR2 headset , after the device failed to achieve significant market appeal.
