Download Chrome OS Flex

Allow me to go through the fundamental and minimal needs for Chrome OS Flex before you begin the download.

A working PC/Mac/Chromebook with a Chromium-based Browser
A USB Flash Drive (8 GB or more)
Target PC requirements:
Minimum 4 GB RAM
64-bit Intel or AMD CPU
At least 16 GB of Storage
Working USB Port

Now that you have everything you need, you can download Chrome OS Flex to your USB device.  Step 1: The Official Approach 1. Open any Chromium-based browser, switch on the PC, Mac, or Chromebook, and navigate to this Chrome extension page. Afterward, click the "Add to Chrome" option.

2. At this point, select the Chromebook Recovery Utility extension that was installed. A new window containing the USB flash drive requirement and an initiate button will open.

3. After selecting the "Get Started" button, you will be prompted to input the model number of your Chromebook before moving on to the next stage. You only need to click on the label that says "Select a model from a list"; there is no need to worry.

4. Next, choose Google Chrome OS Flex from the manufacturer list and Chrome OS Flex (Developer-Unstable) from the product list. After that, press the "Continue" button.

5. You will now be prompted to choose the USB drive in the third step; simply insert the USB and choose it. After that, press the "Continue" button.

6. In order to begin the Chrome OS Flex download, select the Create Now option. Several minutes will pass, based on your internet speed.

Method 2: Downloading ISO BIN files directly Since downloading the BIN file only requires one click, I am sure a lot of us prefer the direct download option. Google uses the BIN file for Chrome OS installation files, just as we download ISO files for Windows.

File Name: chromeos_15886.62.0_reven_recovery_stable-channel_mp-v6.bin.zip
Version: 126
File Type: .bin.zip
File Size: 1.2 GB

1. Start by downloading the zip file using the URL above. 2. Now, unzip the file using any decompression program, such as WinRAR.

3. Next, download any bootable USB creation tool, such as Rufus. 4. To begin the procedure, use Rufus, insert your empty USB flash drive, choose the BIN file from the Boot option area, and press the Start button.

Set up OS Flex Chrome. After the downloading and flashing process is finished, the target PC or Mac has to have Chrome OS Flex installed. You must do that by rebooting the target machine after inserting the USB. Press the boot key repeatedly during booting to bring up the Boot Manager.

You will be presented with a few alternatives by the Boot Manager; carefully choose your boot device.

A welcome window will now appear when the bootable Chrome OS Flex loads. Select the "Get Started" option.

Click the Next button after selecting the Try it first label.

You must now establish an internet connection; your WiFi network(s) will be displayed there. After connecting it, press the Next button.

After reading the Google terms of service, click Accept and Proceed.

You must now indicate who will be utilizing the system, make the appropriate selections, and click the Next button.

You must now sign into your Google account. At last, the Chrome OS Flex home screen will greet you.

After using the system for a few hours, determine whether it is stable and functional. In that case, we can start the installation procedure. Click the Quick Settings panel and then select the Sign Out button to accomplish it.

Next, click the Install CloudReady button in the bottom bar while you are on the log-in screen.
