Use this tool to change Windows sounds and many other settings.

Windows settings are too numerous to be collected in one program, even the official settings application, so developers release tools that help with more customization in Windows and add speed and ease of access to many hidden settings, such as changing most of the system sounds that you hear in different places. In this post, we will learn about one of those tools and how to use it to change one of the system sounds to the sound you want.

Winaero Tweaker supports Windows 7 to Windows 11 and can make dozens of different changes to the system with the clicks of a button, such as disabling updates, customizing the right-click menu, adding new properties to the taskbar, and much more.

However, in this post, we will change the startup sound and shut down Windows because it is not allowed to be changed from Windows settings.

Download the tool from the link below the post. After running the tool, the main interface will appear, and from there, scroll to the "Appearance" section, then the "Startup Sound" option to control the startup sound. Click "Replace startup sound" to select a sound of your choice in WAV format.

From the “Select wav file” window, select this audio file and click Open. Immediately, the tool will make the required modifications and set the selected audio as the startup sound.

Restart your computer to apply the new changes from the "Reboot now" button.

When Windows opens, you will hear the new sound you have chosen.
