Chrome browser updates
In a post published by Chris Messina, attributed to his invention of hashtags, Threadz explained that the latest update of Google Chrome for iOS added a new feature for users. Users can now add shortcuts to their favorite webpages on the home screen, allowing them to quickly access them without having to open Chrome. Previously, this feature was only available on Apple's Safari browser.
The functionality of this feature is similar to how it works on Safari. When a user adds a shortcut to a webpage on the Home screen, they can open that page as a regular app instead of Chrome. This feature allows users to quickly access their favorite websites, saving time and effort searching for them in the browser.
Multiple and new features
If you're using iOS 16.4 or later, you can shorten the web app version for notifications like apps already installed. In addition, the beta version of macOS Sonoma allows users to add web app shortcuts using Safari. Last month, Chrome for iOS received several new features such as using the camera to search for product, improving translation capabilities, and even creating calendar events from the browser itself, according to the Indian Express.
