Chicago





There are plenty of spots throughout Chicago that offer fun Fourth of July celebrations. Consider starting your day at The Navy Pier. Additionally, the Grant Park Music Competition hosts a live show on the 4th of July which usually takes place between 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The Eyes to the Skies competition takes place from June 30th to July 3rd inside Lisle Park, and the annual Windy Metropolis RibFest takes place from June 30th to July 2nd. This city has a long history of Fourth of July celebrations dating back to 1785. Bristol doesn’t just have a great time on Independence Day, however many major days there are. The celebrations start on June 14th with Flag Day. There are various events such as the Fourth of July Ball which takes place on June 21st, as well as live performances in Independence Park and many more. You should also check out the Bristol 4th of July Parade which happens to be the oldest annual parade in the United States of America. 





Myrtle Sea Shore, South Carolina





Myrtle Beach can also be a great place to go for a sunny getaway, but it’s also a great place to have fun on Independence Day. The city hosts the Backyard Metropolis Golf Cart Parade at Surfside Seashore, as well as the annual Fourth of July Parade at Pawleys Island. You can even catch a parade of ships at Murrells Inlet, located 10 miles south of Myrtle Seashore. However, for the night, you should head to the Surfside Seashore Pier where you’ll enjoy inflatable rides, delicious food, craft beer, and a beautiful fireworks display!





New York Metropolis, New York State





New York City is a busy place at any time of year, but it’s a great place to spend some quality time on Independence Day. You can start the day by visiting the revolutionary hotspots of New York City like St. Paul’s Church, Fraunces Tavern, and Fort Tryon Park, or you can take a free ferry ride to Staten Island.





To complete the day, you must check out the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Show! It is set on the East River in Midtown Manhattan and includes a long fireworks display along with synchronized music. There are many locations to watch the show, but some of the best spots are the Williamsburg and Greenpoint waterfronts, FDR Drive, one of each of the New York Metropolis rooftop bars, or a ship. 





Coney Island, Brooklyn
