Mazda MX-5 Miata in 2022

The most recent Miatas come in the stunning RF trim with a targa top or with a soft top. Simply release one central clasp and pull the soft top back to remove it. It takes 13 seconds at a maximum speed of six miles per hour for the automobile to lower the RF.
The 2.0-liter I4 engine produces 181 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, and yes, a six-speed manual transmission is available with it.
Although it isn't the fastest in a straight line, its excellent handling when the road becomes curvy may make much more powerful vehicles look foolish.
What's best? Starting at $28,665, they cost $1,015 for shipping, and the most expensive RF costs over $39,000.
Convertible 2022 Chevrolet Corvette
The Chevrolet Corvette is the only topic of conversation if you want to discuss value for money. This mid-engine bad boy has a starting price of $69,595 plus $1,295 for destination, yet it competes favourably with supercars costing six figures. At speeds up to 30 mph, the power retractable hard top may be dropped in 13 seconds.
A 6.2-liter V8 engine produces 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. A limited-slip differential, sport suspension, Brembo brakes, and grippy summer tyres are all included in the $7,540 Z51 Performance Package, which helps the Corvette accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under three seconds.

BMW 8 Series Convertible in 2022

The middle M850i is my favourite since it has both power and luxury, plus all-wheel drive. You also have the choice of wood, piano black, or carbon fibre interior trim in addition to all the Merino leather you could ever want.
There are now ventilated seats, heated seats, armrests, and steering wheels, as well as the option of a neck warmer, which you should definitely choose.
A 1,375-watt Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System and a variety of ultra-technical driver's aids, such as a backup helper that can track the car's reverse path to help you exit confined parking spaces, are available.

A Bentley Continental is difficult to beat for drop-down luxury. You can have the coach-built convertible of your dreams by adding the Speed nameplate.
The twin-turbocharged W12 engine in the Conti GT Convertible Speed has been tweaked to produce an absurdly high 650 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque.
The Continental accelerates from zero to sixty miles per hour in only 3.6 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 208 mph thanks to the advanced all-wheel drive system that receives this power.
The roof is still available in seven colours, including tweed, and can be opened or closed in less than 19 seconds. There are many exterior colour variations available, and there are 15 main hide and 11 secondary hide options available for the interior.
Speaking of, you'll receive piano black or wood trim that is very stunning, embroidered headrests, Speed badging, heated and cooled everything, and more.
What about the cost? I'll tell you anyhow even though the response is, "If you have to ask, you can't afford it." $313,825 is what you should budget for, plus $2,725 for travel.

2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, 2022

The Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet is the convertible with the best performance available. The 3,800-pound convertible is propelled by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine with an eight-speed PDK transmission that produces 640 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque.
Its top speed is 205 mph, and it has a 2.7-second 0-60 time and a 10.6-second quarter-mile time. Oh, and the soft top is also fairly rapid. It can be lowered in 12 seconds at a top speed of 31 mph.
Pirelli NA 255/35 tyres mounted on 20-inch wheels up front and enormous 315/30 tyres mounted on 21-inch wheels in the rear give grip, and all-wheel drive prevents this vehicle from oversteering excessively through the twisties.
However, the Porsche is expensive. Expect to spend a starting price of $221,150, which includes a $1,350 destination fee and a $1,000 gas guzzler tax.
The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet is even better.
2022 McLaren 720S Spider
You'll need to drastically upgrade if you want supercar convertible performance and aesthetics, and in this case, I like the McLaren 720S Spider. Firstly, a cool electrochromic glass that can transform from tinted to clear is an option for the convertible roof, as well as carbon fibre. The Chevrolet Camaro convertible might be what you're looking for if American muscle is what you want. While the ZL1 can be driven crazily, I prefer the 6.2-liter V8 engine's naturally aspirated power and the fact that the top can be up and down in just 14 seconds at up to 30 mph.
This results in either a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission sending the 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. That's a lot of power, and you avoid paying the ZL1's high gas price.
A V8 Camaro costs $41,395 at launch, plus $1,195 for delivery, which is reasonable for a vintage American pony car.

Mini Cooper S Convertible, 2022
The Mini Cooper S convertible is my favourite because of its dual use soft top. You can either click a button and see it fully open in 18 seconds at up to 18 mph, or you may slide it back halfway for a small amount of open air experience. Additionally, a Union Jack pattern can be weaved directly in. Bonus!
Aside from the distinctive top, driving a Mini is a blast. A six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission can be used to transmit the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine's 189 horsepower and 206 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. The convertible's go-kart-like handling is typical of Minis, which are well known for it.
It's a thrill to drive when the road becomes curvy because of its low-slung, tiny proportions, and power delivery.

Which convertible is the best to purchase?
The convertible you can afford matches your lifestyle, and makes you happy is the one you should buy. I could go on and on about how amazing the Mazda Miata is as a convertible, but if you routinely travel with three friends or a family of six, it won't be the best convertible for you.
There is a convertible available for everyone, which is wonderful news. Get a Jeep Wrangler if you enjoy off-roading. The Chevrolet Camaro has all you need if you're into straight-line power. Hey, you could do much worse than the McLaren 720S Spider if money were no object.
Is a convertible hard top or soft top better?
