How to free up space on Android
Maybe you are like me and never delete anything from your Android phone. Or maybe you're more careful to delete old files and apps that you no longer use, but your phone is still running out of space. If you have low storage space on your Android phone, there are a few things you can do to free up space.
First, take a look at the largest files on your phone. Are there older video files taking up space? Or large image files you no longer need? Delete these large files to free up space.
Next, take a look at your apps. Do you have any apps that you no longer use? If so, delete them to free up space. You can also try uninstalling apps you use irregularly and reinstall them only when you need them. Finally, if you have any apps that you use regularly but take up a lot of space, make sure there are any updates or alternative versions that take up less space.
1. Open Settings and tap Storage.
If your Android device runs out of storage, there are several ways to free up space. One way is to open the Settings app and tap Storage. This will display a list of all the apps on your device and the amount of storage each app uses. You can then browse through the list and delete any apps you don't need.
Another way to free up storage space is to delete any files you don't need. This includes things like downloaded files, photos, videos, etc. To do this, you can either use the file manager app or connect your device to a computer and delete the files manually.
Finally, you can also clear the cache of each app on your device. This is temporary data that the app stores so it can load faster. However, over time, this cache can begin to take up a lot of space. To clear them, go to the Settings app, tap Storage, and then click the Clear Cache button.
2. On the storage screen, press the Free Up Space button.
