You No Longer Need to Pay to Use Grok AI: Here's How You Can Use It for Free
We already have different AI models on the market, most of which are completely free to use, although there are some limitations.
One conversational AI model that not all users have been able to use yet is the Grok model, which belongs to the social network X, the old Twitter.
Until now, Grok was only available to users who had a subscription, meaning they had to pay money to access the chatbot.
We now have a free version of Grok, although there are a series of restrictions on its use, as well as requirements that are easy to comply with.
One limitation is that free users can only send 10 messages every two hours, which is definitely not enough, but at least it's a start.
Accounts on X must also be at least seven days old to access this feature, in a way that prevents abuse of the chatbot.
Another requirement is that you must have a phone number linked to your X account and verified, in order to access this free version of Grok.
If you meet these requirements, you will be able to use the AI chatbot temporarily until the app engineers decide to remove these restrictions.
If you want to access Grok, you'll find it directly in the X menu on the left, or if you're using the app, you can access it through the shortcut in the bottom navigation bar.
Once you are in, simply accept the terms and start using the chatbot.
The advantage that Grok has over other models is that it is directly integrated into the X social network, so it has a fairly direct accessibility.
However, what the user community didn't like was that it exploited users' private posts to improve their responses.
If you don't want this to happen, you can deactivate it, to do this you need to go to X Options, then the "Settings & Privacy" section, then "Privacy & Security", and choose Grok.
There you will just have to uncheck the option “Allow your posts, as well as your interactions, inputs and selected results, to be used for training and improvement”.
