Working Hours in Government Agencies

07:00 - 14:15 (Sun to Thu)


Banking, financial and private institutions

Normal retail banking working hours (Sunday to Thursday) are from 7:30 pm to 1:00 pm, and evening working hours depend on the bank or institution itself.

While the working hours of most institutions in the private sector are from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm


Post Offices

Post offices are located in different regions of the Kingdom, and the working hours of the offices are from 07:00 - 02:00 (Saturday to Thursday)

Malls

Shopping mall times vary, but malls often open between 10:00 am – 10:00 pm seven days a week.

Some shops and shopping malls are closed on Fridays and reopen after Friday prayers.

According to 2017 statistics, the number of hospitals and health units reached 59 health units, including 6 government hospitals with 2027 male and female doctors, 30 government health centers, 22 private hospitals with 1918 male and female doctors, and a government maternity hospital.


 


Communications

The number of fixed telephone lines is 225,756 lines, the number of mobile lines is 2,070,710 lines, while the number of subscribers to Internet services reached 2,160,152 subscribers according to 2019 statistics.


Fisheries

The total catch is 12,215 metric tons, and the per capita consumption of fish is estimated at 0.01 grams per day according to the 2015 statistics.
