WhatsApp disables autosave media for messages to disappear
WhatsApp's recipe-owned instant messaging service is rolling out a new privacy update to hide messages. Whatsapp makes changes in the autosave media; the media is disabled to be automatically saved.
Whatsapp has restricted automatically saving media to your phone's gallery when disappearing messages are enabled.
If your chat has enabled the disappearing messages option, the service will allow you to save the media manually.

Disappeared chats are set to disappear from both the sender and the receiver after a certain period of time to protect users' privacy. There are three options for 24-hour, 7-day, and 90-day chats to disappear.
Currently, the media is automatically saved to the chat of disappearing messages. However, with the recent update, WhatsApp restricts the download of disappeared media to increase security and privacy. This change will be available for Android and iOS users.
On Android, Whatsapp will automatically disable the "Media Visibility" option for chats to disappear. In iOS, the "Save to Camera Roll" feature will be deactivated. So, with this, recipients will be prevented from saving any photos, videos, or GIFs. Automatic options will be turned off by default.
This feature of message disappearance was first spotted in February. Now, WhatsApp displays a pop-up notification informing users that the messages are set to disappear in the chat. The notification appears in the Media visibility setting in Chats disappear.
The notice says, "For privacy reasons, media isn't automatically saved to your phone. To save media from this chat, stop messages from disappearing."
In the latest versions of Whatsapp for Android and iOS, the feature is available in the disappearance of messages.
