Google Chrome's new Privacy Guide explains security settings

Google will soon introduce its new feature in the Google Chrome browser called the "Privacy Guide", which will explain the importance and benefits of all settings. This preparation will take two weeks to be released, but it is useful.

Google has started taking privacy more seriously across its products and services in some years past. Now, the company also wants users to understand their security settings preferences.

The privacy guide will allow you to understand the data you share in exchange for a better browsing experience. Nearly five months later, the privacy guide is finally official for Chrome desktop users.

Google's privacy guide will reveal all browsing networks

The Privacy Guide aims to determine the impact of some Chrome features on your privacy, making users aware of privacy and security in plain language.

Google said in an announcement, "As you navigate through the privacy guide, you'll learn about the benefits, trade-offs, and privacy implications of each setting – so you can easily understand what happens when you turn a particular setting on or off.

This feature will give you a tour of some common privacy-related options, including cookies, safe browsing, history syncing, etc.

For example, the tour shows that when history synchronization is enabled in Chrome, your browsing history will sync across devices, allowing you to continue your browsing session elsewhere.

The new privacy guide will roll out to everyone on Chrome 100 "in the coming weeks." If you doubt where this is happening or how I can use it, read the instructions below.

How to use the privacy guide in Google Chrome

Go to Google Chrome settings by clicking on three dots in the right corner of your browser; after that, click on Privacy and Security in the left tab, then some options will appear. Click on the third option, "Privacy Guide", and you can now allow its use.
