Steps to change the chat theme in Facebook Messenger
1. First of all, open the Google Play Store on your Android smartphone. In the Google Play Store, search for Messenger, and update the app.
2. Once updated, open the Messenger app on your Android device and open a chat where you want to apply a new chat theme.
3. Next, click on the profile name of the other person you are chatting with or the (i) button.
4. On the other person's profile page, scroll down and click on the Theme option, as shown in the screenshot below.
5. Now, you will see a new pop-up window asking you to customize the chat. You will find many topics here.

7. Some topics have effects on words . For example, here I used the Lunar New Year theme. This theme contains word effects for both - Tiger, Luck, and Happy New Year.
