Beni Mazar city
Beni Mazar city is one of the centers of Minya Governorate. Its original name was: Bab Al-Mazar, as it is the entrance to visit the Bahnasa area, famous for its many shrines. It is located 197 km south of Cairo, and it has 42 villages, including: Abu Harb, Ezbet Sabaa, Ibshaq, Abtouga, Abu Al-Abbas, and Abu Al-Eideen.

- Work is underway to establish the new Bahnasa village, as work is underway to establish one hundred housing units. The village includes (a police station - a post office - an administrative building - a health unit - a commercial complex - workshops). Preparations are also underway to offer (3) residential buildings on an area of 240 m2 on the railway line in Tambo.
A bridge is being built over the Nile, linking the east of the Nile to the west, at a cost of 158 million pounds over three years.
A pedestrian overpass is being constructed in Beni Mazar city over the Ibrahimia Canal and the railway.

In the center and city of Beni Mazar, there are 100 primary schools, 57 preparatory schools, 9 general secondary schools, 4 technical secondary schools, 31 kindergarten schools, 19 one-class schools, and 3 Al-Amal Special Education Schools.

The cylinder mill was opened on 12/23/2006, where it operates with (2) production lines at a cost of 30 million pounds. The first line produces 300 tons of wheat per day and 75 tons of corn per day, covering 4 centers.
