Apple faces a serious problem: iPhone 16 Pro phones freeze for no reason
According to Reddit's discussion forums, iPhone 16 Pro users are once again expressing their dissatisfaction with these devices now due to the unexpected freeze on the screen and random reboots. Over the past week the complaint has been directly related to the battery, and the problem now seems to be a bit more serious since no update fixes these behaviors.
Unfortunately, it's been an ongoing problem since September and has persisted until these last few days. Updates don't seem to be enough to correct these issues. Both iOS 18.0.1 and iOS 18.1 beta have screen issues that caused it to freeze.
As they describe, the problem occurs at a random time of day. The screen stops responding or the touch input is often too slow. Then the iPhone restarts immediately. Other users also note that if their iPhone is locked, they are affected by unexpected reboots.
Issues are only reported with iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. It seems that ordinary models do not have such setbacks.
- What can cause this problem?
Some users have pointed out that the problem usually occurs very rarely, but for others it represents total despair. They have to endure between 10 to 20 events per day. According to the same user forums, a temporary solution may be to perform a factory reboot of the iPhone but without an iCloud backup.
The best thing to do, if you are facing these issues, is to follow the tips and reset your iPhone from scratch and without applying any backup. We know that this is very complicated considering that on our iPhone we have many applications and very valuable information. We also suggest that you manually back up your information and rely in iCloud only on apps that are necessary for you.
