Today we have the X96 Air TV Box powered by the AMlogic S905X3 processor that comes with new features that improve the quality of the video engine as it includes the same VPU as the powerful S922X. The device will be available in different versions in terms of RAM and storage. Highlight the options for connecting with the HDMI 2.1 port even though its RAM is DDR3. We are already looking forward to conducting a thorough test of this device to learn more about all its features.
New X96 Air
Processor, storage space and RAM
The X96 Air includes the new S905X3 processor from AMlogic, a quad-core manufactured with 12nm technology and a speed of up to 1.9 GHz, this model of processors has 4 Cortex-A55 and Cortex-M4 cores, and it also contains a central processing unit (NPU) powered by iA technology. The device also comes with a Mali-G31 MP2 graphics processor, and supports HDR, HDR10, HDR10 Plus, HLG, PRIME HDR, as well as Dolby Vision technology.
X96 Air comes with two different versions in terms of random access memory (RAM), the first with a capacity of 2 GB and the second with a capacity of 4 GB, and three versions in terms of storage memory (eMMc), the first 16, the second 32 and the third 64 GB can be expanded by adding external memory of the type microSD.
Features of the X96 Air TV Box
The X96 Air includes wireless aC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 for models with 4GB of RAM, while 2GB versions of Wi-Fi B/G/n include no Bluetooth connection. The device has a range of ports, which are two USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 port, an analog audio and video port, a 10/100 Ethernet port, an SPDIF audio output and an HDMI 2.1 video output. The operating system is Android 9.0.
X96 Air has an infrared remote control with a key clone function, although it is also available with a microphone remote control for voice commands.
