Google Maps adds a new feature that is perfect and important for your travels
During these past few weeks, Google has not stopped updating its Maps app, such as interesting developments such as the ability to customize the car that appears on the map by choosing its model and color or integrating Gemini into Maps, something that completely changes the way you interact with the app.
But these aren't the only improvements coming to Google Maps, as Google has just confirmed that its Maps app has been updated with a new function that will recommend places to stop along the way.
Google recently published a post on the Google Maps blog announcing that its Maps app has just received a new feature called "Explore along your way," which will show you personalized suggestions on where you can stop during the trip.
Thus, from now on, when you open the Google Maps app on your mobile phone, select an address and tap on the Add Station option, a series of important places will appear on the map where you can stop during your trip. Such as restaurants or tourist places.
Similarly, you'll also see a window at the bottom of the app, which is displayed by swiping up, where you'll be able to search for a specific place to stop, choose one of the four main categories of points of interest: gas stations, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and see photos and full information about where you want to stop during your trip by clicking on it.

Although so far, Google Maps has already recommended some interesting points where you can stop inside the road, this new Google Maps functionality focuses on showing you more personalized recommendations based on the places you usually visit when you travel.
