The ten most exquisite phones of 2024 and beyond Phones with a design that will surprise you and the best for this year
The year is about to end, and it's time to find out what are the most attractively designed mobile phones of 2024. The thing we should like to point out is that in this list we do not include phones that repeat the design of the previous year, even if they are very aesthetically pleasing phones.
Redmi 14C
The low-end phones are represented in this top section by the Xiaomi 14C. This is proof that there can be a very nice phone for $100. But of the four colors it is available in, it is undoubtedly the “blue” version that steals all the attention.
The Redmi 14C in Blue has a starry sky design, and its camera module gives the impression of a bright moon tonight. It is also available in green with a texture that mimics vegan leather.
+Infinix Note 40 Pro
The Infinix Note 40 Pro is another example that eye-catching designs aren’t limited to premium phones or popular brands. In its “Vintage Green” version, the handset features a vegan leather back cover that comes in one of the colors that has been trending this year: dark green.
This is combined with the gold chrome detailing of both the camera module and the edges of the phone, giving it a rather premium look as if it were a piece of jewellery.
Nothing Phone (2a)
It is a mobile phone that combines the distinctive design language of this brand with a transparent back cover that highlights some of its internal components.
Not content with that, they have also introduced a “special edition” with specific details in blue, yellow, and red that are somewhat reminiscent of Piet Mondrian’s tumors. It is without a doubt one of the most striking looks of 2024.
Moondrop MIAD01
Innovations in design are not only given by the appearance. It is also because of the way in which consumer needs are solved. The Moondrop MIAD01 is an example of this: it is the ideal mobile phone for lovers of high-resolution audio. No, not only because it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
In fact, it has two headphone jacks: one 3.5mm and the other 4.4mm (for a more balanced and better quality sound output). Added to this is a dedicated audio chip that guarantees high fidelity. And its appearance is not far behind: a simple and futuristic design that looks like it was inspired by a science fiction movie.
OnePlus Nord 4
Another mobile phone that surprised at the design level is the OnePlus Nord 4. This mid-range phone has some distinctive features in its construction that are not typical for its price range.
Essentially, it is manufactured as a single piece of metal (unibody), which gives its design a great deal of flexibility and continuity. This makes it very comfortable to touch. Additionally, it is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, which gives it a premium feel and is fairly lightweight.
Nubia Z70 Ultra
As if painted by Van Gogh himself, the Nubia Z70 Ultra features a back cover designed in homage to the Dutch painter's famous painting "Starry Night."
While it's not the first time the brand has drawn inspiration from this painting (they've been doing it since the Nubia Z50 Ultra), we consider this to be the first time the brand has managed to adapt Van Gogh's brushstrokes to the design of this flagship.
OPPO Find X7 Ultra
Oppo never ceases to amaze us with the looks of its most premium phones, and this year was no exception. The Find X7 Ultra features a premium design that combines vegan leather and glass in just the right proportions. Additionally, the impressive camera module makes it look more and more like a professional photography phone.
iPhone 16
Finally! After 6 years of keeping the same design in its main mobile phone (since the iPhone 11 of 2019), Apple was encouraged this year to change it up a bit with the new iPhone 16. This comes with a redesign of the camera module, which makes it consistent and modern compared to the model I have been using for years.
While it may seem like a simple restructuring of the camera module, the truth is that with this simple change, the iPhone 16 design has gained a lot. It now looks like a new phone with a more youthful and refreshed look.
ROG Phone 9 Pro
Yes, the ROG Phone 9 Pro may not have a look that will blow you away at first glance. But its design hides something very attractive. This gaming phone has an invisible 648 LED display on its back cover.
That's right, it doesn't just have a typical display on the front, but on the back there's a multifunctional, programmable LED dot matrix: you can write a message on it, play "Space Invaders," see the time, the battery... Isn't this one of the best design innovations of the year?
Huawei Mate XT
There’s no doubt that Huawei has been the most innovative brand this year when it comes to smartphones. And how could it not be? They’ve launched the Huawei Mate XT, a dual-hinge foldable device that you can use as a tablet (fully unfolded), a book-like foldable (just folded once), or a traditional mobile phone (folded all the way).
This is the first time a 3D-printed mobile phone has been launched on the market. That’s right, it’s not a concept prototype; this phone is already being sold in China and other parts of the world. Will this be the future of foldable phones? We’ll have to wait a few years to find out.
