Honor has just confirmed that its folding Magic V arrives on January 10th and that it will bring with it a "more complete structural design".
But it seems that the Magic V will bring much more, starting with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that can make this model the most powerful folding machine at the moment.

It was through a post on the Chinese social network Weibo that Honor announced that its Magic V folding smartphone arrives on January 10th and brand CEO Zhao Ming even said that this is Honor's "most complete structural project" .
At the same time, more information about the terminal was also detected in a listing on the GeekBench platform. In this listing, the equipment comes with the Honor model number MGI-AN00 and will be commanded by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM8450 SoC processor. Now this is the code name for Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
If this information is confirmed, the Honor Magic V will be the first folding smartphone to be equipped with the latest Qualcomm processor and risks being the most powerful model of its kind at the moment.
Also in the GeekBench listing, we learn that the aforementioned processor will be paired with 12 GB of RAM and that it will run Android 12. On this platform, the device will have registered 1,176 points in the single-core test and 3,440 points in the multi-core test.

But Honor's CEO went even further and revealed that the Magic V will integrate complex hinge technology that will avoid the gap between panels when the model is folded.
Ming Zhao also used the occasion to declare that some competing brands of Honor are including inferior quality folding screens in their equipment.
In turn, the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station also revealed that the Magic V by Honor will integrate a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and another screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
The same leaker advances even though the model will run Android 12 and will have support for fast charging of 66 watts. Other rumors circulating in the Web world also show that the model could be made available for a cost of around 1390 euros.
