Opera today launched its Opera One browser for iPhone and iPad. This version of the desktop Opera browser adapts its interface design to the mobile experience. Among the new features are updates to Aria, the browser’s native AI, which has been on Android for some time and now includes features like “voice input” and “image creation.” Additionally, the user interface has been simplified and optimized for one-handed use.

It’s worth noting that when it comes to AI, Aria isn’t the only option Opera has, as Gemini was integrated into the desktop version of the browser that same year. However, Opera continues to make progress in integrating this technology into Apple devices.

Opera One for iOS users can now switch between three navigation styles: “Standard navigation,” “Quick action button,” and “Bottom search.” The latter places the address bar at the bottom of the screen, making it easier to use the device with one hand, especially when on the go.

Opera One’s design for iOS maximizes screen space and minimizes distractions. Unused browser elements, such as the top bar and the new bottom search bar, are automatically hidden when users start scrolling the page. Additionally, the color of the top and status bars adjusts to the tone of the web page being visited, providing an immersive, full-screen browsing experience.

The new version also introduces a circular home page that replaces the old news feed. This page includes news, live sports scores, and tips on Opera products, all integrated with the wallpaper to keep the interface clean and uncluttered.

Opera One for iOS is designed to take full advantage of the power of artificial intelligence. The built-in AI assistant, Aria, provides answers with up-to-date data from the web and can assist with tasks such as displaying information, generating text or code, and product inquiries. When starting a conversation with Aria, users are automatically directed to the chat, where they can access the web page hosting the information they are looking for and return to the chat at any time.

Among the new updates, Aria includes a “voice input” feature, allowing users to dictate their queries instead of typing them. Additionally, Aria can generate images using Google’s Image2 model. Users just need to provide instructions, and the AI will generate the desired image. This image can be enhanced with new instructions, copied to the clipboard, saved, shared, and even set as your mobile phone’s wallpaper.

In addition to these features, Opera One for iOS includes a native ad blocker and a free VPN, improving browsing security and privacy.

The new version of Opera One for iOS is now available for download in the App Store. This free update lets iPhone and iPad users enjoy an improved browsing experience powered by artificial intelligence and designed specifically for Apple mobile devices.
