YouTube launches a feature that will save you a lot of time

YouTube engineers are adding many new features to the service, both in its web version and also in the iOS and Android versions.

YouTube is now rolling out a new fine-grained playback speed control tool for everyone, both in mobile apps and on the web.

This new slider is more precise, as it allows us to adjust the playback speed in 0.05x increments.

Web users will now find this new fine-grained control over playback speed, so they can custom tune in more specific increments.

The more specific slider, which has been present in the YouTube Android app for some time, is now making its debut on the web version of YouTube.

Its location on the mobile interface has not changed, so the slider in the playback speed settings is located in the "custom" area.

All of these changes are available in 0.05x increments instead of the default 0.5x.

It's one of those little features that you'll be able to take advantage of, for example, if you want to watch a video slower or faster, and customize the display to the maximum.
