Microsoft is bringing the infamous Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) back to Windows 11. However, Windows 11 has switched the blue screen to Black Screen of Death, but the company is returning the blue error screen .
Earlier this year, the software giant changed the blue error screen to black to match the new black login screens and closed them.
This was the first major change to the blue screen of death since the company added to the screen in Windows 8.
Microsoft Windows 11 to show the blue screen of death
The change made by the company did not go well and is now reverted in the Windows 11 update.
In recent patch notes, Microsoft said that Windows 11 build 22000.346,
"We changed the screen color to blue when the device stopped working or when a Stop error occurred as in previous versions of Windows."
Microsoft first introduced the Bsody in Windows 3.0; it provides a way for IT professionals and supports resolving hardware and memory errors.
The blue screen of death error screen appears when Windows is running in some issues. There is also a subreddit that displays examples of the blue screen of death error in public.
Changes from Windows version 22000.346, and the blue screen of death error is currently under testing in the release preview and beta channels for Windows Insider. According to reports, there are no issues, and BSoD will return to Windows in the near future.
A member of Microsoft's design team says,
"How can we try to bring Windows and Microsoft closer together? So, we looked at the Microsoft logo, and turned it blue. "
However, it is not known why the blue screen of death has returned to blue, but it may be related to IT support calls. The BSOD error has been part of Windows for a long time, and it's an easy way for end users to spot any problem and contact IT support.
