WhatsApp Chat Migration is now available on Pixel phones
Earlier, the feature was only available for Samsung devices.
The WhatsApp Chat migration feature for iPhone for Android is available for all Google Pixel devices now. This feature will also be available on new Android 12 smartphones. Earlier, the feature was only available for Samsung users who want to switch from iOS to Android.
All iPhone users can easily get their WhatsApp chats on their Android phone. Previously, chat history for iOS was stored in iCloud and for Android on Google Drive. It was impossible to transfer conversations between devices running on different operating systems.
Transfer Whatsapp Chats from iPhone to Pixel Devices
However, in September, the company allowed iPhone users to transfer their conversations to Samsung smartphones. A month later, there is a new update; Google announced the transfer of chat from iPhone to Pixel and smartphones running on Android 12 devices.
How to transfer WhatsApp chats from iPhone phone to Android smartphone?
To transfer Whatsapp chat, make sure that both phones have the latest version of WhatsApp. You will need to connect your device with a USB Type-C cable.
Turn on the smartphone and connect it with a cable to your iPhone
Follow the on-screen instructions
When prompted, scan the QR code with the iPhone camera
Click Start on iPhone and wait for a few seconds
Set up your Android smartphone and then check Whatsapp
Sign in with the same phone number used on the iPhone
Click Import and Allow
Activate your phone. That's all! Your Whatsapp chat on iPhone is now available on your Android device.
The WhatsApp data transfer can only be done from iPhone to Android. However, there is no feature available to migrate chat from Android to iPhone. If this feature appears, it will be useful for many of them. However, you can transfer chats to iPhone from Android via third-party apps, tools, and websites as there is no official way to do so.
Google, in a blog post, said that the data will be protected during transit.
"Your WhatsApp chat history will simply be copied from your iPhone to your new Android phone, and we will automatically make sure that you don't receive new messages on the old device while the transfer process is progressing."
At the moment, the feature is available for Samsung and Pixel devices and soon it will be available on Android 12 smartphones.
