Samsung Galaxy phones are installed grammatically by default

Grammarly is one of the best online tools to check your writing to make sure it's accurate. Not many people use it on their phones, but that's about to change. Samsung and Grammarly have announced a partnership that will see the rules checker pre-installed as part of One UI 4.0.

"We've always been passionate about delivering consumer experiences that impact their lives in meaningful ways," says Hyesoon Jeong, vice president and head of Framework R&D Group at Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics. "We are delighted to partner with Grammarly on this new tool to help Samsung users express themselves clearly and confidently in English while communicating with people from all over the world."

This can be a problem for some users, as Grammarly will check their text, which may not be something they want. Samsung cited Grammarly's user-first security and privacy practices and the fact that it "holds enterprise-grade certifications and certifications, putting premium on scalability, uptime, and availability" as advantages, but that may not be enough to achieve some happy users.

Presumably, there will be an option to disable Grammarly as part of One UI 4.0, although Samsung didn't say that specifically.

Samsung and Grammarly also announced that Samsung owners will be able to get a three-month free trial of Grammarly Premium, and will be able to continue to benefit from the free version after that.

The company said Grammarly will be available on Samsung Galaxy S21 devices first, with more phones added in the coming months. This is most likely because the S21 is the first phone to get One UI 4.0.
