How to delete apps on iPhone and iPad
Not all iPhone and iPad apps are worth keeping. You can download an app or game that you later decide you don't like, want, or don't need. To remove clutter or reclaim some storage space, here's how to delete apps on iPhone.

: With each version of iOS and iPadOS, Apple adjusts your options to delete apps. If you have an older version of iOS, you can take a look at our other ways to delete apps or use the app offload feature. The following guidelines apply to iPhones and iPads running iOS and iPadOS 15.
Delete apps from the Home screen
If the app you want to remove is on your home screen, whether inside a folder or not, you can easily delete it in two different ways.
Delete with long-pressing shortcut
When you long press the app icon on your home screen, this displays a shortcut menu with different actions. For that, tap and hold the icon of the app you want to remove and select "Remove App". After that, confirm that you want to permanently get rid of the app by choosing "Delete App".
Delete with Jiggle mode
Jiggle mode has been around for a long time and this also allows you to delete apps. Tap and hold the icon of the app you want to delete. You will see the shortcut menu appear, but instead of releasing your finger, keep pressing.
The app icons will start to vibrate, and you will see minus signs in the upper left corner of the icons. Click the minus sign for the app you want to remove and then choose Delete App.
Delete apps from the app library
With the introduction of the App Library in iOS 14, Apple has given users a way to access apps without cluttering their home screens. So if you don't have the app icon on your screen, you can delete it from the app library.
Swipe right after your last screen until you reach the App Library. If you see the app in one of the category folders, tap and hold it. Otherwise, you may need to expand the category folder. You can do this by clicking on the smaller block in the corner.
Tap and hold the app and choose "Delete App". Confirm this action by clicking "Delete" when prompted.
Delete apps from Settings
One way to delete apps on iPhone that stay through all iOS duplicates in Settings. So, open Settings and select General> iPhone Storage (on an iPad, it will be "iPad Storage").
Scroll through the list of apps and choose the app you want to remove. Click "Delete App" and then confirm by clicking "Delete App" again.
Since you have different ways to remove apps from your iPhone, you can use whichever is easier or more convenient at that time.
