Dead by Daylight Mobile is closing The game will no longer be available on Android and iPhone, and this is the best alternative game for it
It seems like yesterday when Dead by Daylight launched its mobile version. Now that it has been four years since its launch, unfortunately, NetEase has just announced that it is officially shutting down. Its servers will be down worldwide, so it will no longer be possible to play it on mobile platforms (Android and iOS).
Dead by Daylight was released on PC in 2016 and was very well received by players, leading to its release on PS4 and Xbox One in 2017 and on Nintendo Switch in 2019. After building a strong community, the game moved to Android and iOS devices in April 2020.
The PC and console versions continue to run at scale (Steam alone maintains an average of 45,000 active players in real time, according to SteamDB), but the mobile version of the game doesn't seem to be doing so well, so they've already set a shutdown date.
Dead by Daylight Mobile will shut down its servers on March 20, 2025. From that day onwards, you will not be able to access the game even if you have it installed on your device.
However, January 16, 2025, will be the last day the game will be available on app stores. After this date, you will not be able to install it through official stores.
If you’ve spent money on the game, don’t worry, as NetEase has confirmed that it will handle refunds according to the laws of each region. However, it won’t be known how the refunds will proceed until January 16, when the company will release more information on the matter.
If you don't have a PC or console to play Dead by Daylight and are looking for a mobile alternative, you should try Identity V, which is identical in gameplay and has a very original art design.
