Speed up your device without programs
As we have explained, the problem of slow computer is considered one of the most prominent problems in the computer and its causes are very many. For example, slowness may be due to viruses accumulated on your storage unit. Or due to some annoying programs installed that run in the background permanently. Some users use the computer for work or study only and do not have enough experience to deal with such problems, so we will explain to you in the following paragraph the most prominent problems and how you can solve them in a very simple way.
How to speed up your computer without programs
In this paragraph, we will show you the most prominent problems that cause the computer to freeze continuously and how to solve these problems:
Power saving feature in the operating system:
This feature is only available in laptops and is intended to reduce the processor's consumption of battery power to extend the life of the laptop on a single charge. This is very nice, but on the negative side, saving energy actually reduces the processor's consumption of battery power, which significantly reduces the device's performance.
So follow these steps to solve this problem:
Open the settings menu in the operating system or Control Panel.
Open Hardware and Sound options.
Go to Power Options.
Choose the mode that suits your usage.
Stop programs running in the background
Programs that run in the background continuously, whether you are actually using them or not, are annoying and consume significant amounts of your computer’s resources. Therefore, follow these steps to solve this problem:
Go to desktop.
Press these buttons at the same time Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager menu.
Then click on Startup.
It will show you all the programs running in the background.
Select the unused programs and right-click on the program.
Then choose Disable.
Restart the device and you will find a difference in performance.
Unsync Google Drive
Synchronization in Windows 10 specifically means getting continuous and permanent backups to ensure that your files are saved and restored at any time. This leads to a noticeable slowdown in the device’s performance, so follow these steps to stop this synchronization:
Search for the One Drive program that is pre-installed in Windows.
Right click and select Pause Syncing.
Clean up your operating system hard disk
When the operating system's hard disk is full, problems of stuttering and noticeable slowness occur in the computer, so you must take care to clean the disk continuously to avoid such things happening. Follow these steps to clean the hard disk:
Go to the Settings menu in Windows.
Then go to System.
Select Storage options.
A menu will appear with an Off button at the top. Change it to On.
System reboots continuously
Constantly rebooting the system is somewhat annoying for the operating system itself and it accumulates files significantly on the hard disk, which reduces the system's instability in the long run. Therefore, it is not recommended not to reboot the system frequently to maintain the computer's performance for the longest possible period.
Delete unused programs
The presence of many unused programs in the operating system or the continuous installation of applications and programs without using them makes reopening these programs every time the operating system is opened annoying and prolongs the time the device is opened, so it is recommended to delete these applications continuously and get rid of unwanted programs. Follow these steps to solve this problem:
Open the Settings menu.
Go to Apps.
Then go to Apps & Features.
Then open the Apps & features settings.
Search for unused applications and programs.
Right click on the program you want to remove.
Then click on Uninstall.
