Create this small file to enter BIOS from desktop.
The BIOS or UEFI screen is what you use to boot to the flash memory to install Windows or modify some settings on your device. The way to access it varies from one device to another and is usually by pressing one of the keys before booting to Windows, such as Delete, F10, or Esc. However, in this post, we will learn about a new way to enter the BIOS directly from the desktop through a simple shortcut.
The shortcut we will create will execute a command to shut down the device and use the UEFI Firmware Settings option in the Advanced Startup Options screen instead of doing it manually. Right click on any empty space on the desktop and choose Shortcut from the New menu and in the Create Shortcut window
Copy and paste the following command shutdown /r /fw /t 1 into the Type the location of the item field and then click Next.
Specify the name of the shortcut in the Type a name for this shortcut field and click Finish. Then grant the shortcut administrator rights (Admin) by right-clicking on the shortcut and choosing Properties to open the properties window and from the Advanced section put a check mark next to Run as administrator and then click Apply.
Every time you need to enter BIOS, press the shortcut twice. A notification will appear to restart the device, the computer will shut down and the BIOS settings will be displayed directly.
Note : The shortcut will only work on devices that support the latest UEFI interface.
