Xiaomi's Buttonless Phone | Is It The Future?
Xiaomi's next phone will be without buttons! Xiaomi is reportedly working on a smartphone without buttons, and it is expected to be launched in the first half of next year. This phone is codenamed "Zhuque", and its most distinctive feature will be the absence of buttons at all. But is this the only feature in it or are there other things? Let's find out together.

Unfortunately, the aforementioned source doesn't mention what will replace the buttons, so it could be a combination of gesture controls, pressure-sensitive bezels, or voice commands. The phone will also have an under-display selfie camera, which will hopefully be better than Samsung's attempts in this area. The Zhuque will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 chipset, which will also be used in the Xiaomi 15S Pro, a device that is expected to appear between April and June 2025.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 looks like it will be an improved version of the 8 Gen 4, which is scheduled to launch in October. As for the Zhuque, we'll have to wait and see if it will be a success or more of a niche spin-off like the Meizu Zero.
