iPhone 16 Series Batteries Finally Get Better From Apple
Remember the days when you had to recharge your iPhone every few hours? It seems like those days are gone with the new iPhone 16. After years of complaints about battery life, Apple has finally decided to listen to users and introduce improvements to the battery capacity of the iPhone 16 series.
Significant increase in battery capacity of iPhone 16 series
New regulatory information from Brazilian agency Anatel via Blog do iPhone has revealed how much the iPhone 16 series' batteries will have increased in capacity compared to the iPhone 15 lineup:
- iPhone 16: 3,561 mAh (6.3% increase)
- iPhone 16 Plus: 4,674 mAh (6.6% increase)
- iPhone 16 Pro: 3,582 mAh (9.4% increase)
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4,685 mAh (6% increase)
The iPhone 16 Pro model saw the biggest increase in battery capacity at 9.4%.
The new A18 and A18 Pro chips and cooling improvements also help boost battery life, with the biggest improvements in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.
- iPhone 16: 22 hours video playback, 18 hours video streaming, 80 hours audio.
- iPhone 16 Plus: 27 hours video playback, 24 hours video streaming, 100 hours audio.
- iPhone 16 Pro: 27 hours video playback, 22 hours video streaming, 85 hours audio.
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 33 hours video playback, 29 hours video streaming, 105 hours audio.
All iPhone 16 models support faster 25W MagSafe charging, but you'll need one of Apple's new MagSafe chargers to get it, and you'll need a 30W power adapter to see the fastest wireless charging speeds. Apple also says the new devices can charge at up to 45W over USB-C.
