Google has pledged to stop letting advertisers track users across the internet using third-party cookies, a move aimed at improving user privacy. But Google also said at the time that it would introduce FLoC (or Federated Learning for Groups), a new technology in Chrome that would allow it to improve users’ anonymity while still collecting their browsing data for advertising purposes. Google said at the time that FLoC would be tested in a limited beta before rolling out, but it didn’t provide users with a direct way to opt out of the test.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has already criticized Google's proposed FLoC tracking tool, arguing that this user behavior monitoring tool could still harm users' privacy.

Another report explained how users can opt out of FLoC tracking. It turns out all you have to do is block third-party cookies in Chrome. Now, the EFF has gone a step further by creating a website that tells users whether they’ve been included in Google’s limited FLoC test.

The Am I FLoCed site has only one purpose, which is to tell you if you are part of the original experiment, which includes 0.5% of users in different countries.

You just need to visit the website and simply click on the “Check for FLoC ID” button to find out if Google is secretly tracking them or not.

This isn’t just another Chrome experiment. It’s a fundamental change to the browser and how people exploit their data.
